End of an era

An open evening at Hillhead Primary School, Glasgow, gave me a chance for a last look at the extraordinary building where I had my primary education. It closes this summer, when the school moves to a new campus off Gibson Street. After seeing the extraordinary lengths to which they had to go to fulfil modern health and safety regulations, I cannot blame anyone for making the move - I found the number of new staircases quite baffling.
