Grey day in Gairloch

Today was mostly grey, and in between the greyness we had hail storms and then blue skies would appear all too briefly. Took a massive total of one blip - sorry, folks...

I have spent 2 days trying to get things back to normal in my department, and trying to mend some bridges. At the last performance of "Oliver", we forgot to publicly thank my friend Jenny, who made all the props. I have apologised, and the kids got together and made a lovely card for her. When I gave it to her today, she just folded it in 4 and shoved it in her pocket. She can also barely talk to me. Quite an upset. And there's nothing I can do about it. I give up.

I went to see "No Country for Old Men" with my pals tonight, and I will have to talk it through with them sometime. I honestly don't know what to make of it. Violent, yes but I don't actually object to violence in a movie. I'm just not all that sure what it was all about. I was a bit sleepy, I have to say, but managed quite well. The car smash really woke me up big time.

Need to go to bed now.
