hacky sack!
Thinking about moving flats at the moment- our landlord is trying to increase our rent by 38%, which seems a bit much, and although we've seen a flat we quite like it turns out I'm really quite partial to ours, even with it's teeny kitchen, especially on a lovely sunny day like today. Ho hum. So I thought I'd do the responsible thing and avoid thinking about it and concentrate on blipping instead.
This is a Chinese hacky sack, or shuttlecock, called a jianzi. You see a lot of Chinese people playing with these- usually kicking it to each other- in parks, and they are awesome at it. It's even played professionally across Asia (thank you, Wikipedia). We bought ours for about 30p at the Temple of Heaven a couple of years back, and admittedly it serves more as decoration than a means of exercise. Turns out you need a lot of practice to be any good at all, which we don't do, and so we're not. Any good. At all.
It is pretty though, don't you think? ;)
