Just Willemena

I drive past this house quite often. i like to think i am quite well read, always have a couple of books on the go - but sometimes i find things out that make me feel a bit dim.

Firstly i was suprised to find out the the writer of the Just William books came from Bury in Lancashire.

Secondly that the author, Richmal Crompton, was a woman!

I dont mean that to sound sexist but am aware it probably does!

Any other books but Just William? I always felt an affinity with him against the girls of this world when i was a little lad. Almost feel like i was tricked by an impostor!
