Surfplas, Vlaardingen

I love the fact that I have lived in this city for two years and yet still discover new area's to explore. This afternoons jaunt took me to Surfplas, a lake and surrounding nature which I knew existed but not that it was so lovely. I definitely regret not visiting sooner but I shall most certainly come here again. Trees and flat polders as far as the eye can see, several bridges leading the way across the expanses of water, greeted only by a handful of fishermen, cows and the odd horse now and again :)

I thought I'd taken a wrong turn when I stumbled upon a golf course but the cycle path actually led right through the centre! A lovely place to walk.
