Egg - Musical May

I noticed this egg shell on the path when I came home from work tonight. I?m pretty sure it?s a blackbird?s egg. I have no idea where the nest is but I don?t think it?s actually in the garden anywhere although there were a couple of fledglings hopping about on the lawn this morning! It?s nice to think that they?ve been nesting nearby though! And what a colourful delight the egg is too!
