Mt. Bachelor

One more mountain scene. The contrasting blue sky and white snow call to me to catch the mountains while I can.

This is Mt. Bachelor. It is really a butte, but since Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort is there, and has become quite renown, the powers that be finally acquiesced and renamed Bachelor Butte, Mt. Bachelor. I guess it is official when it shows up on the National Geographic maps as such.

As I was driving on Awbrey Butte to get this photograph, 3 deer crossed the road. Not only do we have lots of buttes, lava rock and volcanoes, we also have lots of deer. I am contemplating how to plant my lettuce this year so it becomes MY feast and not the deers!
