Diamonds and Rust

Still not feeling to good and couldn't face the computer today. Spent most of it reading "Lead Mining in Wales" by W.J. Lewis, a classic work. (Not everyone's idea of a relaxing read, I concede). Then pottering around on YouTube (as you do) I came across an interesting video about the last remaining building of the Birmingham Battery and Metal Co. where my granddad used to work. Metal - must be in the blood :)

I don't listen to music much these days but lately have been rediscovering some obscure old favourites, Today it's been traditional Greek Cypriot music. I especially love the style of violin playing.

A friend sent me score and lyrics for th Neopolitan classic "Core 'Ngrato" so I've been annoying the neighbours with my own rendition. Placido Domingo, eat your heart out.

Jonathan Richman! - who remembers him?
