SAC or the Scottish Art Club

The Scottish Art Club is not a club for everyone. It is like a youth club but for old people ( over 70) with money and plenty of spare time. There are 300 members and of course it is an exclusive club.I was invited for lunch today as a guest; the restaurant reminded me of a canteen. Basically it is a house with vivid colours (to remember that life is bright,even if you are old) , with old people to chat about the Royals and the latest exhibitions of local painters. My practical side of me wonder why people choose to be member of a club when you can stay home, and invite your old friends around for a play of Uno?then ask the grand children to draw around the house.
