Making the bed.

Yes a deep bed for the runner beans, i dug out one spade depth of soil then broke up the sub soil as much as I could. Then covered sub soil with well rotted compost and finally sieved the top soil back using a medium sieve. A heavy dusting of bone meal and the bed is ready for the beans.
