Quiet Contemplation

The south side of Edinburgh's Princes St is lined with wooden benches. They afford the sitter a view, not of the majestic castle rock behind, but the busy four lane high street and run of the mill shops that lie to the north.

Apart from the airport, this must be one of the noisiest places in the city. So I had to admire this lady, who managed to stay focussed on her book, despite all the din and traffic.
