Do Flies Love Butter ?

I remember as children we used to hold buttercups under our chins to see if we loved butter, can't remember how we knew if we did or didn't, I think if the buttercup glowed golden on your skin you liked the butter. The buttercups in the wild flower part of our garden were full of flies, tiny ants and the most minute spiders.

So tonight it's a shot of a fly on a buttercup , I know they are nast little creatures with disgusting habits but they look really interesting close up.
