EYE CATCHING

Now heres the thing

with catching the flying Heron - the sun shines above them -

I put up one of these a couple of weeks ago but wasnt quite happy - ( never am) but this one is a little better as the underside of the wing has some feather detail this is hard to get correct exposure for both the white head and the underside.

Anyway here is it is - I used my 1.4 extender today for this one as the weather was great and plenty of light flying around - I lose 1 stop with the 1.4 - I have a 2X ext., but this drops me back 2 stops. I'm reasonably happy with this result as the 1.4X gives me 300mm x 1.4 x 1.6 for the canon ccd ext.
I dont know whats that - 667mm approx. I dont have a calculator with me - someone will confirm
