I can't tell if this photograph got cropped. If so, it took out the main element (and its balance): the red feather (and the red carnations).

I found this site on a day (2 days ago) when I was feeling overwhelmed by the lack of information about 2 prospective jobs after a year of unemployment. I was brushing my horse and felt a moment of gratitude. Thought, I should do a 365 (more or less-and this site gives the more or less) and start it with that acknowledgement of gratitude.

Yesterday (the day that this photo represents), I saw my first cardinal of the spring. (And, late last night, 2 fox kits crossing the road.) I met with my former collaborating physician (who would also be my collaborating physician at one of the new jobs) yesterday who was greatly helpful. While walking to meet my husband for dinner I passed this red feather, turned around, picked it up, and carried it with me all evening as a sappy talisman that all things come around, that we all lose some feathers along the way....
