Valley Weekend

I am working in the Matanuska Valley this weekend, scintilla country.

It's lunchtime and I am out to get a bite. It is amazing what 50 miles will do to change the weather. The ground snow is nearly blown and melted away.

Of course, the tree buds have not greened out yet. And of course, the snow on the mountains will be around for quite some time.

But it is quite pleasant. Many people have shed their coats and are walking around in short sleeves.

After all it's 36 degrees F!
