Idiots, they are everywhere

Maybe bad weather is like the full moon, or some gene in people is mutated to want to "go out for a drive" in a BLIZZARD. I understand people own and drive 6000 lb Sport Utility Vehicles, Maybe own a Land Rover or the latest German all wheel drive import? I have one too, but fill it with common sense :-)


I do not understand people who own these vehicle, make lots of money and are mostly educated that 6000 pounds, an excelarator pedal, 4x4, all wheel drive, abs, 17 airbags and passive restraints STILL gets you STUCK in DEEP SNOW.... Actually Stuck is better that getting up to normal speeds and then turning said SUV into Hockey Puck sliding down a interstate On Ramp, going off the road and into an embankment because you were out for a drive... In a Blizzard...


I sat for hours tonight to close off the highway (three and a half to be exact) for one of these folks, it took 2 tow trucks, 3 snow plows and a big rig wrecker Snow Plows to "unstick" them.

The police have to Unstick our vehicle(s) snowy cars before going on the road to unstick knuckle heads like my night presented me. I had fun.

*** We got 19 inches in 24 hours with blowing, drifiting snow that was some of the WORST I have seen in years. It is a storm to remember for sure.
