The Waves

After decades of ignoring the Eurovision song contest. Tonight as a family we are going to sit down and embrace it.

The girls have drawn us all a score card and we are going to drink wine and munch posh crisps (cooked in a kettle apparently)

I have never been a Eurovision fan but I do remember Katrina and the Waves winning it for the UK in 1997.

So why do they never get a mention in the build up? I have seen endless Sandy Shaw and Bucks Fizz clips but no Katrina and the Waves.

What have Katrina and the Waves done to deserve this media shun? Who have they upset?
