ahhh, the apex hotel ducks. i've gathered three on my travels. today they reminded me of a recent encounter with a sales assistant when buying mascara at a MAC store in NYC. On hearing my accent the chap asked me where I was from, when I told him Edinburgh he spoke about how beautiful the city is and said he stayed in a great hotel where he got a free duck...thought it was funny that a free rubber duck was one of his most vivid memories of his trip to Scotland's capital :)
