Just by chance

I took Cal down to Tenterden today as he's working on the train. They are having a 1940s event this weekend. There are lots of folk wearing WWII uniform and the clothing of the day. There are old vehicles, military and otherwise, and the glass in the telephone box was taped to avoid blast damage.

But this image is of something special - It was unexpected and certainly not planned as part of today's celebrations but as Cal and I were chatting, just before I went back to the car, there was the unmistakable audio porn of a Rolls Royce Merlin V12 and I managed to grab a couple of shots. I've used this one because it is the best profile and I like the way it's on the edge of the cloud. I'm guessing that there will be many who won't recognise it immediately but there will also be a good few who will...............
