Public Bathing!

This little sparrow decided to have a good thorough bath and splash in the water dish! The strange thing was, once he'd had a go, about half a dozen decided they'd clean up their act too! There was a queue on the wall under the hebe and on the rose bush, and they each took their turn

Lots of very bedraggled and scruffy sparrows then sat in the sun, drying and preening and realigning their damp feathers!

Was pet sitting for a friend's dog tonight. She, the spaniel, was due to give birth and they had a school concert to attend. I offered lots of encouragement and words of persuasion, but no puppies appeared. This was my fall back blip - always useful to keep one in reserve! Rest assured though, as soon as there are pups, they will be blipped!
