Black Friday
I had a horrendous day on Friday 13th, and I'm not normally superstitious.
Some of you may remember me mentioning that a photo I had taken for a newspaper had ended up in another newspaper without my permission. In my efforts to find out exactly what has happened, the journalist who passed it on to the newspaper has ended up in trouble. This isn't my fault, as had he asked permission in the first place instead of breaking copyright law none of this would have happened. However, this particular journalist chose to vent his anger at my friend Ben whose event he was covering and he wrote a downright disgusting diatribe to Ben via email slagging off me, Ben, and Ben's business in the process, and threatening Ben that his activities will never be reported in 'his' papers again. Naturally Ben was angry, alarmed and upset by these turn of events, and directed some of that anger towards me that essentially has threatened our friendship. This has left an incredibly sour taste our mouths, but we have managed to resolve our friendship at least.
This situation almost put me photography all together. However I just decided to take a photo of black to encapsulate how I feel.
To top it off, the meeting with my boss which I'd thoroughly psyched myself up for got cancelled. A doubly bad day.
