Poor "squinty bridge" aka Glasgow Arc

I was at my N.Y.C.o.S. choir directors' meeting today which was held in a very nice hotel on the banks of the Clyde, just in front of what is affectionately known as the squinty bridge. As you can see there is work being done on the bridge because a few weeks ago one of the cables snapped and the bridge was obviously declared unsafe. It's not known how long it is going to be closed and I think a few heads are rolling even as I speak!!
