Harrison's back!
18months 24 days
Busy day. Early start. Both because Katie got up and because we had to get out and on once she had. She slept better though, going through til nearly 2 before she got out of bed to come into mine! We had a job to do this morning first thing, and had a lovely hour's walk in the sunshine. We headed from there to the carboot and found a few little bits. Katie remembered she'd had sweets last time I think, as she started asking for them as soon as she saw the building where the stall was!
We came home and got out of our walking clothes and headed off to church, in the village this week. Katie ran up and gave Emma massive cuddles and had a nice play with Tatiana during the service. She made a paper lantern but was entirely unimpressed with it! She was flagging by the time we got home and didnt squark when I put her to bed at all. She slept for an hour and a half, and I still had to waken her. But the promise of going out got her up and out very quickly!
We went to a "Duck Dash" this afternoon. I have to admit the duck-dashing was disappointing. We arrived ten minutes after the start of the event and all the races were full, so they put on an extra one. But you didnt get to see the races! We managed to attend a duck dash without seeing a single plastic duck! However, we did see a wonderful family of tiny ducklings and their mum. But the best bit for Katie was that we met Harrison, Aiden and family there. She's missed them this week during their holidays, and has asked repeatedly for them. She spent lots of time giving them both big cuddles.
There was a few stalls in the village hall, so we all went in there. Katie had a go on the bottle Lucky Dip, and managed to win me a small bottle of Baileys. Considerably better than Harrison who won his mum a small bottle of mouthwash. The children did some rather nice duck collages, ate buns and sausage rolls and just enjoyed being together. A nice afternoon.
