Chariots of Fire
Today, there was a charity fun run in St Andrews to commemorate the 30 year anniversary of the film 'Chariots of Fire'. My coach (I used to be a runner...I am ashamed to say that nowadays I'm definitely more of a jogger...) was actually in the original film as, at the time of shooting, they used the St Andrews Cross Country Club as extras!
So today, he came up to St Andrews, along with my family and a few other runners from my club Central AC, to run along West Sands to the sounds of Vangelis once more! And here he is (the white haired one at the front with the big smile on his face!) with some of the members of the club having a post-race photoshoot! (I love the reflections in the water by the way!)
My brother Ross actually won the race, and my dad came second...and then me, my family, Tola and everyone else had a BBQ on the beach...literally was one of my favourite days :D :D
And for those who are unfamiliar, or just want to see that famous scene again - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLbWBlB2aWA
