Railing against the Rain

Lovely night in Edinburgh last night with Jim and Louise and their two teenage children. You'd never have guessed that we haven't all sat round a dinner table together for at least 10 years! Bb and Jim are part of the boys weekends in Barcelona, but as far as Louise and I are concerned they don't really count as catch-ups as they never seem to actually talk about anything! Anyway, last night there was lots of talking, lots of laughs and lots of good food. So nice to spend time with old friends. Headed over to Kirkcaldy to my hometown this morning to go to my late father's church there and to pop in and say hello to his neighbours. Will never seem right to be in Kirkcaldy without him. It seemed a longer than usual drive back to Largs in the afternoon in the rain and the heavy traffic....think there was some football match on ;-) When we arrived in Largs, we braced ourselves against the wind and rain and joined the dog walkers on the promenade. In bad weather, a dog on a leash seems more credible than a camera round your neck!
