The Sprint to 1st

The Cannon 5D takes incredible action / motion photographs. All of my images from our son's tball game today were sharp and crisp. Mid air leaping was even caught in focus. And today I stood behind the chain link fence to avoid a ball vs. camera collision.

We love tball season. Our whole family does. It is so nice to be outside catching little glimpses of the sun that has been literally been playing hide n' seek all spring. We are getting to know the families on the team and our son is surrounded with warm and caring people all with the common interest of making this season an enjoyable on for the kids.

And we love to watch our son run the bases. It's kind of a mix between a run and a leap. His smile is huge and infectious the entire time. His attitude is always so positive and it is obvious that he thoroughly enjoys the game. And he has made some nice little buddies on his team. A few of the friendships that will no doubt span into the summer even when the season is over.

Our daughter had one of her 'best days ever' as well. She was invited to spend the day with her Mama. And I could see that the privilege made her feel so special and important. She didn't have to share her Mama with anyone today. Just the two of them. They came to our son's game and then I met up with them later at our nephew's game.

We finished the day with a small bbq with our good friends. It was nice to have a relaxing evening together. And the kids loved every minute of it of course. It's been a busy couple of days. But life is busy and that is something that we really enjoy when the 'busy' includes special moments, experiences, bonding, and togetherness. Busy in a very good way.
