Bejewelled poppy heads

I ventured to the top of the garden again to check the progress of the poppies. I'm not surprised they don't watn to open as it is cold, wet and miserable!

Anyway despite the lack of blooms I was rewarded by these beautiful flower buds encrusted with sparkling rain droplets. Worth the trip I think!!
