Cow-wheat

Computer problems kept me away over the weekend. Walking the dog this morning I saw a group of 50+ common-spotted orchids in full flower. It was a bit windy so they were swaying back and forth on their rather tall flower spikes. Amongst them was the humble cow-wheat a parasitic plant that feeds off grasses. I'll return to photograph the orchids tomorrow - assuming the wind has died down (and the dog doesn't mind waiting!).
