Jagged
There is no pain greater than this; not the cut of a jagged-edged dagger nor the fire of a dragon's breath. Nothing burns in your heart like the emptiness of losing something, someone, before you truly have learned of its value.

This subdivision is going up to the west of my house, essentially just across the road. Two summers ago we were on the "edge of the frontier" so to speak with nothing but agricultural fields between us and the next town 7 miles away. Up until then the fields were crop dusted a couple times a summer, the small plane doing tail stands over the rooftops as it reached the field edge. Then an elementary school was built, the crop dusting stopped, and new crops sprang up. Now besides the subdivisions 400 acres has been zoned commercial. A local farm about 1/2 mile further down that sold fresh produce is also going to go under the bulldozer soon.
Today starts a new project that I've wanted to attempt for a while. Each morning I will get a word from a random word generator and that will give me the source of my Blipfoto for that day. I will illustrate the word literally or get the essence of the (or a) meaning. Should be interesting. I'll also search for an appropriate quote and/or accompany with a short explanation of the process or relevance of the image to the word.
If nothing else I may learn some new words.
