rocket science

While HKoba was working on her blip on the computer I noticed a black shadow in the backyard. Grabbed camera and positioned myself by the kitchen window. Focused on the feeder, about 5 feet off the ground. As the crow jumped to the feeder I snapped. Took a dozen pictures. Liked this one.

1. Crow jumps and extracts bits of suet from the feeder.
2. Eats the suet pieces scattered on the ground.
3. Repeats 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, etc. then flies off.
Compare with bushtit, about the size of crow's head.
