Wood Pigeon

I had planned to post a picture of the peony which has finally come into flower but then discovered a bumble bee nest under the lawnmower. Much more unusual I thought but I'm afraid it yielded nothing more than a rather dull picture of a small heap of grass with a couple of bees on top. However for once the wood pigeon decided not to flap off as soon as I stepped into the garden but to pose for a portrait instead. Peony tomorrow perhaps.
