The Sharpness to Gloucester canal, was apparently once the broadest and deepest canal in the world. Now, I have not been through either the Suez or the Panama, but I expect they are much more glamourous!
The canal 'famously' (only among residents in Sharpness where there is nothing else to do) is 16 miles long, 16 feet deep and has 16 bridges. Today's blip was taken approx 3 miles up the canal from yesterdays blip. Slimbridge has a lovely cafe/boat shop which sells exquisite carrot cake which today had run out, so don't rush there this afternoon.
In other exciting news... Ugly Naked Guy has not showered yet today. He appears to wait until we sit down as a family to eat. I have dusted off the 500mm mirror lens in preparation to blip him, Dozy Girl has planted a Leylandii hedge. It is now a race to see if my New Tripod Savings Account matures faster than the hedge!
