Church

I'm not religious, but Blunham church always looks stunning in the sunshine. And I'm lucky enough to live opposite it, with the front of my house offering a lovely and picturesque view of the tower over the trees.

I've read that the church tower is Norman, perhaps constructed around 1100, while the main building dates back to the late 1500's according to an inscription on the tower itself.

Truly wonderful sunset today. My second favourite time to take photos.

Intensified with GIMP. Wanted to really highlight the wonderful colours of the bricks and mortar against the pale blue sky; the patterns and irregularities really add to the beauty of this ancient piece of architecture.
