Bon anniversaire!

Been a bit of a French theme today. Made it to Yakety Yak, en retard. Missed last week's tv slot about it on 'The Hour' but it's here. Today we discussed France's current scandal (the IMF President), who might win the French presidential elections and un peu de Scottish politics. My French gets more and more cobwebs but I persevere. Coffee with classmate M and then off down the town.

Discovered 'Chez Jules' was celebrating its 21st birthday with a 3 course lunch for £5.90 (6,75?), superbe! Pate de campagne, salade, pain, confit de canard et mousse au chocolat. I hadn't realised they are part of the Pierre Levicky mini empire (remember 'Pierre Victoire' and 'Pierre Lapin' (the vegetarian one)). The deal is on tomorrow too.

Apart from that it was cold today - what has happened to spring? Seems to have deserted us.

No tea to-night - not after all that lunch.
