Norway

17th May was only ever going to have one subject matter today - a Norwegian flag. This is Norway's National Day and it is marked with quite a few Norway flags around the Isles. This one on on the Town Hall in Lerwick.

Still very strong links between Shetland and Norway - when the new museum was opened Prince Charles was invited along but had to play second fiddle to Queen Sonja of Norway who performed the opening ceremony.

There are a few Norwegian yachts in the harbour and the crews had a small parade in the town - sadly work got in the way again of the photo opportunity.

Still just over 10 weeks to go and we'll be back over there.
