The Green Light

Today hubby and I went to Southampton to something called Ministerial Recognition Committee for the SCBA (Southern Counties Baptist Association). This was the final step for now for me to enter into a new phase of life... a new calling. I have felt 'called' into ordained ministry for 4 years now and earlier this year started the process to see if this was affirmed by others. First I shared with a regional minister, then my fellow deacons, then our church who voted to affirm this calling. In between I visited the colleges where I can study and felt that Glasgow was the right place. This final step (for now) has been taken and those who interviewed me and listened to me talk and discuss and read scripture discerned that this calling is one to take forward.

So what now? We are in the process of selling our house. I will tell the RAF later this month I am leaving. And we will move to Glasgow and I will start college in Sep to study Theology as a Minister-in-Training. I have a sense that going home is a gift from God, a chance to spend time with family while I study. God is good!

This is exciting times and I have been a little quiet till now but intend to blip my way through these exciting times!

You are my God, and I will praise you!
You are my God, and I will exalt you!

Psalm 118 v 28
