Male Gila Woodpecker

Most of my photos today turned out bad. This one not so good but I love the way his tail feathers fall. They make more noise than any bird in my yard. Most of the time they squawk when the hummingbird feeder is empty. We now have the citrus bats migrating through and each night they empty the hummingbird feeders. Next morning, guess who is demanding sugar water.... my woodpecker, who else.
