Pickled Onions

Here are some pickled onions I made.
They are seen in a studio pottery bowl made by Josie Walter.
I make the onions first by peeling and soaking them overnight in a salt brine.
Then they are washed in water and dried.
Malt vinegar, muscavado sugar, spices, and chillies are boiled up and the liquor allowed to cool.
Then bottle up.
Much nicer than any you buy in a shop.
