LIVE STRONG

The Livestrong program is intended to raise money for cancer research, raise cancer awareness, and encourage people to live life to the fullest. There have now been 70 million LIVESTRONG bracelets sold to date.


Bought myself a new band the other day and every time I look at it now it reminds me of my friend Alan. An incredible human being who was taken by cancer in October 2009. When he was diagnosed he was told he had about a year to live but he battled on for over five years. There were many ups and downs but he always remained positive and so incredibly strong.

He was my "safety blanket" always there to help out in times of need and give advice, and my how we laughed together too !

When I visited him in hospital I told him "take care, I will see you soon bud". I never got the chance to speak to him again.

The words "Live Strong" sum up his life perfectly.
