Perennial
Some shots become perennials in the shooting calendar, due to frequency of visit and personal significance. I think of Goatfell and Brodick Bay, for those who know Scotland, in this context and which year in year have featured in our family holiday snaps and home movies during a period of over half a century; they would have featured in this journal one of these recent days if the weather had not been so downright rotten as to hide the mountain from view for a whole week!
Cadaques on the Costa Brava in Spain (pictured here) is in the same league, irrestible to the lens and, similarly upon beholding it, productive of an intense calming effect, an 'at homeness'.
We are here to draw breath for one or two nights before plunging back into the demands of life in Barcelona and keeping building my European work base.
PS
One year ago today, we also arrived back in Spain from Barcelona...perennial perigrinations!
