A little bit of China in Murrayfield
Took this blip as I zoomed along Corstorphine Road (passing the Chinese Consulate), though Murrayfield on my way to work.
The flag of the People's Republic of China was designed by Zeng Liansong, an economist and artist from Rui'an.
The red background of the flag symbolizes the blood of the heroes who died during the revolution and the yellow color symbolizes the glorious history and culture. The larger star symbolizes the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party which is claimed as the leader of all and the four smaller yellow five-pointed stars are believed to represent the four classes of Chinese: the Workers, Peasants, Petty Bhourgeoisie and National Bourgeoisie. An interpretation under a more historical context is the four stars represent the traditional four categories of the people in the state, which are Workers (g?ng), Farmers (nóng), Intellectual (shì), and Businessmen (sh?ng)
