Cobbled Arc

Thanks for the interest in yesterday's image, and the great comments. It turned out to be a ladybird larvae (for more see the postscript I added), which I found amazing.

I'm been plagued by my more normal software bugs today so very little time to spend out with the camera, or browsing here. I took a very short detour this evening to examine this old bridge which crosses the canal a few hundred yards down from my normal crossing place. It's hard to imagine that this scene has changed at all over more than two centuries of traffic.
