BIRDS EYE SERIES #5
Te Huingi Manu is a wild-life refuge in Christchurch where this bird was shot
( photo. speaking). Its an Australasian Harrier (Circus approximans )
They are a shy bird, homo sapien wise and they drift away pretty quickly when they see people. I was lying in the grass/bushes and I managed to get away with my cover - although I think he had his beady eye on me when the shutter went.
This was the targeted species for the day and I was happy with the effort.
I like his eye and I think he is a contender for Top BIRDSEYE series shot so far.
