Lonely Tulip

It wasn't a very exciting day, but the weather was great.

I was sitting out on the deck enjoying the sunshine after dinner, when Harold the hummingbird appeared at the feeder. I hadn't seen him for days. He didn't stay long, so I fetched my camera with the long zoom and waited for him to return -- and waited, and waited. Perhaps the sugar solution wasn't fresh enough for him.

I looked around for something else to blip and saw this solitary tulip snuggling up against the base of the bird bath -- my favorite color combination. That pushy dandelion had to get into the picture too.
