Old Road Clock

This clock used to stand on the main road to Scotland (on the west side of England) at Shap, about fifteen miles north of here. All the traffic, in pre-motorway days, would have used this road and passed the clock. It has been restored and is now in the garden at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal. The advertisement is for Leyland motors, a brand now virtually disappeared from car manufacturing.
