negatives? ... on glass?

OK, so how many of you remember glass plates and the more modern celluloid negatives? Our good friends Gina and Cherri are halfway through cataloguing several hundred of them rescued from the offices of an old newspaper.

I worked in a different newspaper offices in the 1970s using 35mm film. One of the old boys who'd been there for decades said, "You youngsters with your new-fangled cameras. I can remember doing a Royal Visit on five half-plates. Every one had to count, 'cos the double page feature only carried five pictures."

How times have changed, eh?
