Adrenalin Rush
There is a speed festival on in our little town this weekend. It started three years ago with a local Audi R8 owner deciding to organise a hillclimb and it's grown into a major event attended by some of the fastest cars in the country.
They closed off the streets for an hour, including the national road which is our main street, causing massive gridlock to the public, while they paraded cheekily around the town, making a huge racket.
The noise of the engines was absolulely fantastic. An hour after I got home (at high speed, I might add. Why waste a clear-street opportunity?) my heart was still beating heavily from adrenalin rush.
Sadly I will miss watching the hillclimb tomorrow because I'm going to help a 92-year-old woman talk to her son in Namibia using Skype Video. She's going to be absolutely amazed :)
Anyway, I'd like to slip into something comfortable. Like a DB9 seat. Don't care which side. But I certainly wouldn't let anyone take a Vantage off me.
