WOW!

18months 29 days (happy 19 months Bobbins!)

We got up this morning and got ready to go out. I had to go get some shoes sorted for her at the shoe shop, a couple of jobs, get ready to meet Ava at softplay before gymnastics. I got a really happy photo of Katie loving her new carseat. I was excited to have the blip gifted to me like that, so early in the day!

I took her and got her shoes checked (extremely pleased, £6 bargain beautiful pink shoes, with pretties that Katie loves) We went to soft play, the girls had a great time. Katie was hurling Monkey down the slide, then herself, Ava was giving big snuggles. It was lovely. We went to gymnastics, Katie was getting extremely brave walking on sloping benches, low beams and things without holding on. It was also lovely.

I took her for her lunch, she ate a nice lunch. We went and met a friend who was visiting us from Northallerton. Katie fell asleep so we enjoyed coffee and cheesecake (white chocolate mocca... mmm lush... chocolate cheesecake, also lush). This point my afternoon/blip plan/excitement levels changed a little. I got a text "YOU POSTED THE 1 MILLIONTH BLIP". Followed shortly by "YOU'VE WON A FUGGIN AWESOME CAMERA". (direct quote here!). And then I found out about the LIFE MEMBERSHIP!!!!! Excited doesnt cover it. It was complete and utter chance, it could have been any of my lovely blip friends. But I've been really touched by the kind comments that people have left about it being Katie's Journal. Thankyou so very very much.

And Blip Central - the fireworks are fabulous. The icon made me smile a lot. And knowing I've got membership forever, that's also really very exciting. And yes, I will LOVE having a new camera to play with. Thank you so much. Joe, thankyou for giving us this opportunity to record Katie's life, to meet a huge host of wonderful photographers and really special friends. And of course, we'd not be blipping if it wasnt for theCheeky Girls (ohhh i've just seen! I have a fab little bit in my membership info that says "Lifetime membership - Started 19th May 2011 Expires NEVER" !! And the list of icons, it explains my balloon icon! How exciting this all is!)

So anyway, yes, we felt that therefore a bit of a party was deserved. So I spent a few pounds that will be saved by not paying renewal fees, bought a bottle of (on very very cheap offer!) pink bubbly, balloons, streamers and ticker tape and of course cake. I put Katie in her pretty dress, BOTH monkeys, joined the party, and we had a little celebration of our own. Katie drank juice from a wine glass very proudly, ate icing off two cupcakes and is still chasing balloons and streamers. The pink bubbly is in the fridge!

(to conclude Katie's day, after I found out about the excitement, and before our little party, we went for a walk and visited the cows, dogs and pretties on the Westwood and then went for a visit to the Cousins. She was extremely excited as she got given a inappropriately large ice cream, given how near to tea it was, but what the heck!)
