Gutted

Went to a dinner last night as late replacement for a client. Doing the right thing and helped him out. Walked in to the venue in my nice grey suit to be confronted by 300 blokes in dinner suits. Not a good start. Sat down and didn't move all night in case the comedian spotted me.

However, sat next to this guy who knows all sorts about horse racing. He gave me this tip for "Miss Blink" and said it would definatley win today. "Put as much as you want on it" was his last words. What a result i thought. Went to work today and despite having his tip in my pocket, i was so busy and forgot all about it. Just got home and found his tip so deceided to check result and to my Horror it won !!. Storey of my life. Gutted. That could have been my holiday spending. I now hate work even more for getting in the way
