Breakfast

These sparrows, and about 30 of their brethren, were waiting in the trees in my parents' backyard for their breakfast. It had been put out for them as it is every day, but they wouldn't come down while I was trying to take photos of them.

It was quite a party this morning - there were sparrows, starlings, blackbirds, a fantail and waxeyes all wanting their food. In the end I had to give up on the possibility of getting better photos and come inside so that they could come closer to the house for their meal.
